No OBC benefit for those born after 1993 in Delhi

Children born in Delhi after 1993 or living with their parents in the city after that year are not eligible for benefits under the OBC category, parliament was told today.

Minister of state for home M Ramachandran stated this in the Lok Sabha in a written statement.

He said the government of Delhi issues Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates on the basis of directions, guidelines and instructions from the central government.
