For people who have remained steadily glued into the movement's cause, India Against Corruption (IAC) has gone the extra mile to ensure that they are regularly updated about any development. Earlier it used to be done by sending bulk messages but now the IAC has come up with special SMS-cards.

"This is an alternative to our earlier method of sending bulk messages. We had encountered several problems in that system as a huge number of people had registered for the service and we shifted to separate cards for better management of alerts," said Rajiv Yadav, an IAC volunteer.

Priced at Rs25, the cards sold by dozens during Anna Hazare's fast at Jantar Mantar on Sunday. Buyers will now have to dial the code provided on the card, which will automatically register them for updates by IAC. "We have managed to sell about 250 cards. The proceeds from the sale of cards will be forwarded to the Public Cause Research Foundation (PCRF) of Arvind Kejriwal," he added.

"We thought people can at least afford Rs25 to get associated with the movement. Other-wise we would have to accept donations to meet this cost,” said Manish Sisodia, a key Team Anna member.
