A day after the search for a Hummer owned by DMK leader MK Stalin’s son created political havoc, the CBI on Friday seemed no longer interested in finding it.

The agency managed to locate 16 more high-end luxury cars, 11 of them belonging to India Cements, a company managed by BCCI chief N Srinivasan, but the hunt for the Hummer remained unsuccessful. “Investigators have recovered 33 high-end luxury vehicles till now. Hummer is not one of them. Investigators didn’t carry out any search on Friday....,” said a CBI official on the condition of anonymity.

Hummer was registered in the name of Stalin’s son Udayanidhi. The vehicle was imported in 2007. It is alleged that requisite import duty was not paid for the vehicle while bringing it in India.
