Apart from questioning the arrests of two security guards employed at Kalkaji’s South Park apartment, the Sarnas, on the basis of Anmol’s post-mortem report, also questioned the sequence of events on the fateful night.

“No matter what the police have been saying, Anmol’s post-mortem report clearly indicates that there were injuries inflicted on his head well before he was made to leave the flat where the party was going on,” claimed Sushma Sarna, his mother.

“Besides, my son was tall and well-built for his age. How could security guards as short as Naresh Mishra and Surender Bali have inflicted such severe injuries on his head?” she asked.

Two days after the party where Anmol, after having consumed LSD, had died, six men including Mishra and Bali had been arrested.

While four of Anmol’s friends – Shivang Gambhir, Madhav Bhandaru, Rhythm Girhotra and Pranil Shah – were arrested for having bought and consumed LSD, which is banned under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Bali and Mishra had been arrested for culpable homicide.

“We reiterate our demand for a CBI probe into the case,” said Sarna’s father, Anil. “There is enough proof which points at the fact that my son was assaulted by his own friends and killed as part of a conspiracy.”

Sarna, who recently graduated from a high school in New York and was visiting his extended family in Greater Kailash with his parents over the last six months He had succumbed to a fatal head injury at AIIMS around 2.30am on September 14.
