NTPC has prepared its Long Term Corporate Plan to set the goals and targets for the period up to 2032. The Corporate Plan has been approved and adopted by the NTPC board, it said in a statement.

The company will raise its power generation capacity to 1,28,000 MW by the year 2032. The capacity will have a diversified fuel mix comprising 56 per cent coal, 16 per cent gas, 11 per cent nuclear and 17 per cent renewables (including hydro).

By 2032, non fossil fuel based generation capacity will make up nearly 28 per cent of NTPC's portfolio, it said.

However, the actual results may vary from those expressed or implied in the Corporate Plan due to associated risks or uncertainties, besides economic conditions, government policies and other incidental factors, it added.

The current power generation capacity of the company is over 32,000 MW from all sources of energy.
