Following the provisions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, Delhi education minister Arvinder Singh said the admission process for nursery classes would continue even during the summer vacation.

"I have told the officials to ensure that even if the child is overage, he should be granted admission to the appropriate class as per his age," Singh said.

"A list of private schools is being prepared where seats under the economically weaker section are lying vacant. These seats will be filled soon. We will seek fresh applications from children of poor families for admission under this category," Singh said.
