Bhupendra, running the agency in South Extension Part I, was nabbed on Friday night by Special Cell sleuths, police sources said on Saturday.

He was allegedly tapping phones of Amar Singh for the last two-and-a half months at the behest of some person believed to be using the name of the police.

Bhupendra was produced in a local court which remanded him to five days of police custody.

Special Cell of the Delhi Police had registered a case of forgery, cheating, criminal conspiracy and some sections of the Indian Telegraph Act in connection with the allegations made by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav about tapping of phones of Amar Singh and other SP leaders.

Yadav had alleged in Lucknow on Friday that the telephone number "39565414", for which Reliance Infocomm is the service provider and belongs to party General Secretary Amar Singh, was being tapped by the Central Government.
