In sharp contrast to National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan's recent comments, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has reiterated that New Delhi was yet to receive any official response from Islamabad regarding its investigation into the Mumbai terrorist attacks.

"That he (Narayanan) has stated in his own way. But the fact of the matter is that after they (Pakistan) received material from us, we have not received any official communication (about the probe) from them," Mukherjee said when asked about Narayanan's comments.

Narayanan, in an interview to CNN IBN, had said, "What I am aware of is that after the receipt of the dossier by Pakistan, the Pakistan government have reverted to us and asked a number of questions to which answers have been provided. So as far as we are concerned, we believe that Pakistan is making an attempt to arrive at the truth. I assume that they are yet to receive reply to the second set of queries they have made."

On Pakistan barring its cricketers from playing in the Indian Premier League, Mukherjee said, "it is for them (to decide). I do not bring politics in cricket. Sometimes, we also cancel trips."
