A resident of Gali Lal Darwaza near Hauz Qazi in central Delhi, Begum was suffering from heart ailment. She was brought to the hospital in a critical condition around 10.30 am on Wednesday.

The family members alleged that the guard stopped them at the hospital entrance and asked them to get a stretcher, which led to a scuffle.

Precious time was wasted in following protocol, during which the patient’s condition worsened and she was declared brought dead by the doctors.

This further infuriated the family members and they created a ruckus. A complaint was registered against the hospital.

The hospital authorities, however, claimed there was no delay on the part of the doctors.
