Petrol pumps robbed in Ghaziabad

Four armed robbers robbed at least two petrol-pumps in Sihani-Gate and Vijay Nagar police station areas late Sunday night, police said.

Four armed robbers robbed at least two petrol-pumps in Sihani-Gate and Vijay Nagar police station areas late Sunday night, police said.

The robbers made away with cash worth about Rs 80,000. Petrol-pump owners in the city expressed outrage over the incidents and threatened to go on an indefinite strike.

“The strike would be indefinite is the robbers are not apprehended within 24 hours by the police,” Singh said.

“We are already on the job. Our investigations are on,” said SP – City Avdhesh Kumar.
