‘Physics was easy but long’

Lakhs of students from Classes 10 and 12 appeared for their Board examination across the country on Tuesday. Class 12 students appeared for Physics paper, while Class 10 students sat for their vernacular language paper.

Although the students felt the Physics examination was easy, they said it was too long.

"I went prepared for a tough paper, but it was easier that I expected. The questions were direct and there were more theory-based questions rather than application-based ones," said Nishita Mohta, a Class 12 student of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road.

Also, the students were unhappy that the questions of just two marks had sub-parts to it making the paper lengthy. "We had to rush to complete the paper and some of us could not finish it," said Pritam Nath, a student of Bloom Public School, Vasant Kunj.

Teachers too felt that the paper was longer than expected. “The paper was lengthy as some questions there were lot of sub-parts but over all it was a balanced one,” said Lipi Goswami, physics teacher at Tagore International School, East of Kailash.

The next paper for Class 12 is Business Studies on March 3, while Class 10 students will sit for Mathematics exam on March 5.
