Police arrest Gang of snatchers

The Amar Colony police on Monday arrested two snatchers and another man who used to receive stolen goods and claimed to have solved 22 cases of snatching and robbery.

The Amar Colony police on Monday arrested two snatchers and another man who used to receive stolen goods and claimed to have solved 22 cases of snatching and robbery.

The kingpin of the gang, identified as Sonu alias Lovely, 23, is an expert in riding high-speed motorbikes and he formed his gang after being inspired from a Bollywood movie.

Police said Sonu was influenced by the lead actor of the movie and he also dreamt of buying and riding a ‘Hayabusa’ bike like him. Sonu had recently purchased a Pulsar 220 CC motorcycle on a down payment of R 91,000 and he was using it for the robberies.
