Police bust gang of burglars in capital

Police claimed to have bust a gang of burglars in the capital after arresting six members of the group. The arrested persons are Sunny, Shekhar, Sandeep, Murgesh, Kamal and Kuldeep.

Police claimed to have bust a gang of burglars in the capital after arresting six members of the group.

The gang was operating in government colonies in South Delhi area, police said. The gang was involved in 42 burglaries.

The arrested persons are Sunny, Shekhar, Sandeep, Murgesh, Kamal and Kuldeep.

Police have seized jewellery worth Rs five lakh from them. They had targeted houses some top government servants in Lodhi Colony, Sarojini Nagar and a few other posh areas.

During interrogation, the accused have admitted to the crime. They were entering the houses posing as 'chandawalas'. If they found there were nobody in the house they were easily doing the crime.
