Bhavesh Patel, who was arrested last month by the NIA told investigators that a group of six right wing extremists had gone to Ajmer for the operation.

Bhavesh added that after planting two IEDs, out of which only one exploded and claimed three lives, he and the leader of the group of planters, Suresh Nair, took a bus for Ahmedabad. At a checkpost, four policemen stopped the bus, asked for passengers traveling from Ajmer.

The policemen questioned Bhavesh and Suresh, asking them where they had been in Ajmer, to which Suresh replied, “Dargah Sharif.”The police then searched the duo but found nothing incriminating on them. Thereafter the policemen let all the passengers go.
