"The roads in our colony were always good. This year, after the monsoon they developed potholes. We complained many a times but were told that the entire workforce is busy with Games projects," said Rakesh Mahindroo, a resident of Greater Kailash I.

Residents further allege that repair work has not been undertaken after the monsoon. "This is for the first time that craters like these have persisted for months," said Gautam Dasgupta, a resident of W Block in Greater Kailash I.

In Chittranjan Park, too, roads are in a state of disrepair. "Though it is a perennial problem but most roads used to be repaired after the rains. This year that hasn’t happened. While potholes on the main road were repaired within days, those that developed here have still not been fixed," said KL Lahiri, a resident of B Block. Many other posh areas such as Gitanjali, Vasant Kunj, Saket, East of Kailash, Lajpat Nagar III, New Friends Colony, have also been suffering from the same problem.
