On Tuesday, the OC issued a two-page note carrying the "terms of reference" given by the Shunglu Committee and circulated it among all the functional heads.

The committee is likely to call the 34 functional heads of the OC to their headquarters and question them on various aspects.

"As far as the documents are concerned, they will be delivered to them. The committee need not come to the OC headquarters," said a senior OC official, requesting anonymity.

It will look into the appointment of consultants, examination of weaknesses in management, misappropriation, irregularities, wasteful expenditure and wrongdoing in the conduct of the Games.

The OC also said that they have 1,000 almost brand new computers and the Delhi government or any other agency would be their first choice in the disposing the machines.

"It would be better that these computers were given to schools or any other government agency. The computers are brand new and are loaded with expensive software," said the official.

The OC also said they were waiting for a go ahead by the Ministry of Sports to auction the kitchen appliances, sports equipment, quilts, pillows, towels and computers that were purchased during the Games.

"The auction will begin as soon as we get the required documents from the sports ministry," said Jarnail Singh, CEO, OC.

The central government had given the OC a loan of Rs 1,814 of which it was only able to generate Rs 650 crore as revenue.
