Prime Minister calls on President Pratibha Patil

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday called on President Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan to brief her about his recent visit to the US and his discussions with Heads of Government at CHOGM held at Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago.

"The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes...The two leaders also discussed about matters relating to internal security, the ongoing Parliament session and various other issues of national and international importance," a statement from the President's Secretariat said.

Singh has returned from his State Visit to USA and Trinidad and Tobago where he attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting on Monday morning.
