NEW DELHI: After leader of the Opposition Vijender Gupta’s complaint, a PWD assistant engineer and junior engineer have been suspended for dereliction of duty in the recent case of a seven-year-old child’s death.

The incident took place at a nullah on PWD Road No.-43 from Wazir Pur to Rani Bagh.

“The second demand of compensation was also conceded as the minister assured that the family will be given due compensation within a period of seven days. PWD minister Satyendra Jain promised that the government would take effective steps to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future,” said Gupta.

Accompanied by the father and family members of the child, Gupta met the PWD minister.
