Rains were seen in parts of west and south Delhi: Palam station saw 19 mm of rain in a 24-hour period ending at 8.30 pm on Monday while Ayanagar station recorded 26.8 mm in the same time period.

The Met department has said that the city can expect rain on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

“Rain and thundershowers are expected in some parts of the city. Since Delhi is spread over a huge area, it is difficult to say which area will see rainfall and which will not,” said a senior Met official.

Monday’s rainfall is also expected to bring down the maximum temperatures in the city by a few degrees.
