He also declined to comment on BJP leader Arun Jaitley's observation dubbing the "truce" between him and Home Minister P Chidambaram after the controversy as "uneasy".

"These are all bunkum. If you do not have any serious question, then I am sorry," he said yesterday when asked whether he had offered to resign following the controversy over the note which suggested that Chidambaram could have prevented the 2G scam by insisting on auctioning of spectrum.

On Jaitley's remarks, Mukherjee, on arrival here from Delhi, said, "I am not commenting on anybody, any individual. If you have a general issue then ask me."

Jaitley, the Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, had said yesterday that "it appeared to be an uneasy truce. Never before do we remember senior ministers presenting themselves before the media and the country and making it appear like a joint communique".
