Agitated residents brought life at Greater Kailash II to a grinding halt on Saturday evening. The police were on its toes, as dozens of livid residents from the posh neighbourhood converged at a local temple in S Block to protest against a self-proclaimed godman.

They alleged that he had made lakhs by exploiting the faiths of hundreds at his 1,200 sq foot flat in the locality.

However, the real contention was not the money. “He gets at least 4,000 visitors during each sitting. The area is already choked when it comes to parking space,” said JK Jain, from S Block.

“His visitors squat in the public parks and markets till evening,” said Ashok Kumar Bagga, RWA president, GK II.
