Riding on backlash, Rama Sene now eyes the world

Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik will set out next month to launch units in Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. With this, the outfit looks set to acquire a national footprint.

And what about the virtual, global reach? National general secretary Binay Kumar Singh — who lives in Delhi — has grand plans.

“Eight to 10 of our teams with hidden cameras will move around Delhi on Valentine’s Day to capture images of couples crossing civil limits while showing their intimacy and post them on the internet. Since they are so concerned about going global with Valentine’s Day, we will oblige them by giving them full global display,” he told Hindustan Times.

The outfit insists there is hope for girls who are harassed in the name of Valentine’s Day by roadside Romeos!

“We’ve started a helpline number 9891616259 where girls being harassed by men can call. We have already received 550 complaints since we advertised the number through some Hindi newspapers. We’re helping the girls file police complaints,” said Arun Kumar of the outfit’s Delhi unit.

In what will shock the Left, Binay Kumar Singh calls himself a “comrade at heart”.

“Those sending us pink chaddis to protest only to get drunk in pubs never say a word when farmers commit suicide. They are just stooges of MNCs,” he said, ‘socialistically’.
