The Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) has bought a new machine – heavy vehicle simulator (HVS) – that can simulate different external conditions such as weather conditions and vehicle load and measure their impact on the life of the road.

With this, the testing process, which is normally about 2-3 years, can be reduced to just 3-4 months. The machine will be on display at the CRRI’s headquarter near Okhla over the next two days.
