Work in rest of the city remained largely unaffected as the civic body claimed it has been able to pacify the agitating unions by initiating the procedure of regularising safai karmcharis after the Lt Governor's intervention.

At Rohini and Civil Lines zones, disgruntled workers allegedly threatened workers of a private firm engaged by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi with dire consequences if they made an attempt to pull out their trucks from the workshops.

The MCD claimed that the demands of the workers have been met and issued a warning against those shirking work.
