Vikas had sought a three-month-long release to attend his brother's marriage. The bench comprising Justice VS Sirpurkar and Justice TS Thakur dismissed the bail plea and said: "It's your brother's marriage, not yours."

It also refused to interfere with the Delhi High Court's order to grant him six hours' parole to attend his brother's marriage on Saturday. The parole would be under police vigilance.

Vikas had challenged the high court order in the apex court on the ground that there were several post-marriage ceremonies that he had to attend.

He further claimed he had to re-bond with his grandfather whom he hadn't met for years.
