A mock security drill was on Friday carried out at a five star hotel in the national capital to plug loopholes in the system in the backdrop of Mumbai terror attacks in which hotels were targeted.

The drill was carried out at the Inter Continental Hotel located at Barakhamba road in Connaught Place on Friday morning by making a dummy call saying a bomb was placed there, police sources said.
The forces, including police, fire fighters and bomb disposal experts, rushed to the spot, they said.
"The response of the hotel staff and the forces are being analysed," a senior police official said.
As terrorists targeted two deluxe hotels in Mumbai, Delhi Police have advised hotel authorities in the national capital to allow only those having booking at the facility to enter its premises.
Senior police officials have already briefed the managements of various hotels in the city about the measures to be taken for stepping up security by tightening access control and increasing the number of personnel to keep a watch on suspicious movement near the facilities.
Hotels were also advised to restrict the entry of people into their facilities by allowing only those who have prior bookings or only after ascertaining their identity and purpose of visit.
The advise came in the backdrop of heavily armed men struck terror in two five star hotels the heritage Taj Mahal Hotel and Trident (formerly Oberoi) in Mumbai in November last week.
