A 17-year-old girl was gang-raped in a moving car by four men on Friday morning when she was on her way to a public toilet in the area. She was later dumped at a desolate spot in Narela where she was spotted by a police control room van.
After three days of investigations the police are also looking into the possible role of cab driver. “As the incident happened early in the morning around 5:15 am, we suspect a cab driver might be involved in the incident. We are collecting data on the various cabs, which move around in the area and screening them as well,” said a senior police officer.
“We spoke to the victim to know the make of car used by the culprits. But she is still traumatised and unfit to give a statement. But we are trying to zero in on the vehicle,” said a police officer. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) NS Bundela however said, “We are looking at the case from all possible angles.”
