Around a year ago, Marwah — who had been dealing only in call girls — realised that she could woo more customers with an innovative “package deal”. She decided on offering 1gm cocaine free with a call girl for R30,000.

Within months, her package had catapulted her to a world of luxury. The native of Punjab’s Ropar now owns five cars, including a luxury Honda City.

On Monday, the 50-year-old was arrested by the crime branch. Police also arrested Marwah’s accomplice, Ajay Kalra, a debt-ridden businessman.

The police also found 275gm of cocaine — worth over R2 crore — on them.

DCP (crime) Ashok Chand said that on Monday, Marwah was to fly to Colombo along with eight girls where she had organised a party at a casino.

She was also involved in betting on cricket matches and was in touch with top bookies in Delhi, Chand added.

During interrogation, Marwah said that after completing her BEd, she worked as a teacher in a school in Roper till she got married and moved to Delhi, Chand said.

After her father-in-law died and her husband abandoned her, it became difficult for Marwah to make both ends meet. In 2004, she became part of an immoral trafficking racket and started supplying call girls.

“She was arrested in 2006 by the Inderpuri police. She continued her illegal business after her release from the jail,” said an investigating officer.
