Sibling abuse case: Mom wants further probe

A woman, facing the heat for allegedly subjecting her three children to acute physical violence, on Friday moved a court here seeking a direction to the Delhi police to further investigate the case relating to sexual abuse of the minors by their school cab driver.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sunil Chaudhary directed the Delhi police's Crime Branch to further investigate the matter after taking the plea of the woman complainant into account. Seema Malhotra, the widow, in her application filed through advocate Kiran Singh, sought a direction to the police to conduct the investigation of the case properly as it involved the life of her three children. She also referred to the fact that her elder son Aman is untraceable since December 17 last.

The woman also claimed that she apprehended danger to the life of her children due to a threat received from an associate of the arrested cab driver Lalit Ratawal. Investigating Officer Inspector Arti Sharma, in a reply, said the matter is still under investigation. The accused submitted he had no objection if the case was further probed.
