While Kailash Oberoi (71), a herpes patient, had to stand in her balcony during the night, her husband Jairam (81), had no alternative but to accompany his wife.

“I felt nauseated and delirious. I couldn’t even make out whether it was day or night,” said Jairam.

“Because of the long power-cuts during the day, he got fever towards evening and got delirious. Since he’s a heart patient and uses a pace maker, I had to take extra care. Thank God he’s been fine for sometime and didn’t need the machine last night,” said Kailash.

A herpes patient herself, Kailash’s condition got worse because of the relentless heat, “I was getting better, but because of the sudden power-cut I have developed more blisters on my neck,” she said.
