Union ministers Sri Prakash Jaiswal, Salman Khurshid, Kapil Sibal and Sushil Kumar Shinde were called for the core group meeting.

The meeting took place hours after Gandhi held a meeting with senior leaders to discuss ways to break the logjam in parliament, which remained paralysed for the eighth day on Friday.
