Speeding BMW jumps divider in Naraina, one man injured

A 43-year-old man suffered injuries after the driver of a speeding BMW car lost control over his vehicle that jumped the road divider and rammed three more vehicles on the opposite carriageway. HT reports.

A 43-year-old man suffered injuries after the driver of a speeding BMW car lost control over his vehicle that jumped the road divider and rammed three more vehicles on the opposite carriageway.

The accident took place on Friday in southwest Delhi’s Naraina.

A case of rash and negligent driving causing hurt was registered at the Naraina police station.

The errant BMW driver, identified as Nitin Malhotra, 36, — a bookseller from Gurgaon, has been arrested. The victim was identified as Prem Chand.

“Malhotra was driving at a very high speed. He lost control over the vehicle and jumped the divider, hitting three vehicles moving in the opposite lane,” said a police officer.
