Three people, including a teacher, have been arrested in connection with the molestation of a lower-kindergarten student of a private school on Wednesday.

"The teacher along with the driver and conductor of the school bus are being investigated over the incident. They have been arrested," deputy commissioner of police Raj Kumar Vaishisht said.

A large number of parents had protested the alleged molestation of a Sector 46 school student on Wednesday. The incident supposedly took place in the afternoon in a school bus.

The schoolgirl's relatives had claimed that she was on way to her Sector 8 home when her swimming coach along with the driver and conductor of the bus allegedly molested her.

"The child talked of the incident to her mother, who alerted her relatives ," a family member said.

A school official had on Wednesday acknowledged that a complaint of molestation by a teacher had been lodged with the management.
Swimming coach Ajay Kumar, bus driver Sanjay and conductor Mohammad Rashid have been granted bail. They have denied involvement in the incident.
