"The success of the strike shows that the academic community is completely opposed to the attempt by Prof. Deepak Pental to impose changes in undergraduate science programmes which gravely undermine quality and equal access," a DUTA press release said. Some teachers have said the strike on August 24 could adversely affect Delhi University Students' Union's election process since Tuesday is the last day for scrutiny of the candidates.
