Techies rock the party

Here’s all the fun and action from HT City’s Fresh on Campus party at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology

Latest Bollywood numbers and loud hooting set the mood for HT City’s Fresh on Campus party at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) in Dwarka. The event kicked off with Tata Nano Coolest Fresher contest for which 10 boys from the first year were randomly selected from the crowd. After two rounds that judged the contestants on their talent and dance skills, Himank Sawhney was declared the winner.

The highlight of the event was Veet Diva of the Day contest for which 15 girls went through three rigorous rounds— the introduction round, talent round and question & answer round. Ruchi Gautam, who won everyone’s heart with her cool dance moves, was declared the Diva of the Day. First year students also performed a small play when asked by their seniors. Their modern take on Ramayana, that depicted Ram as Superman and Sita mocking actor Katrina Kaif, was a clear cut entertainer. The party ended with DJ Mukul playing non-stop music for the students.

Fifteen beauties with brains participated in the Veet Diva of the Day contest. After a ramp walk, a talent round and a Q&A session, Ruchi Gautam, a first year student of Manufacturing and Automation was crowned the winner. "I am so happy to have won this title. I wasn’t prepared for this. My friends pushed me from the crowd and I am thankful to them." Ruchi Gautam
