"Technical problem was detected around 4 p.m. in a train, which was plying from Qutub Minar to Huda City Centre. Initially, the DMRC technical staff tried to sort out the problem in the train but finally had to take it out of service after evacuating the passengers at Sultanpur Metro station," said a DMRC spokesperson.

According to the commuters, service was disrupted for about an hour, which caused them a lot of trouble. However, DMRC officials said impact of the service disruption was less as the train was carrying less than 100 passengers. Trains ply at 10-minute intervals on this track.

It might be recalled that the train service on this route was badly affected on the day of its inauguration as a technical problem had occurred after a track circuit cable was stolen from near Sultanpur depot.
