Three cheat employer of Rs. 55 lakh, also dupe NRHM of Rs. 2 crore

They had also submitted fake bills of condoms worth Rs. 2 crore to the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), police said.

Six Sigma Star Healthcare, a government-affiliated company that works in hospital and healthcare administration and medical education, has filed a complaint with the Najafgarh police station, claiming their three employees had collected several payments on its behalf and stopped reporting to duty.

"We found that they had visited several hospitals across the country and collected payment in cash, which never found its way to the company," Dr Pradeep Bhardwaj, executive director, said. Sources said the accused also travelled to various hospitals across cities such as Amritsar, Mohali, Jalandhar, Haridwar, Meerut, Ahmedabad, Varanasi among others.

"They would ask the hospitals to pay in cash to avoid tax issues. We also found that they were involved in the NRHM scam too," a senior police officer said.

The three employees in question, whose names have been withheld as they are absconding, also hacked into the company's e-mail. They not only accessed its sensitive data, but sent derogatory messages to its clients from the email. "They had formed a similar company and were trying to lure our clients," Bhardwaj added.

A case under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating and fraud) of the IPC and Sections 65 (tampering with computer source documents), 66(2) (hacking with computer systems) and 67 (publishing of information which is obscene in electronic form) of the Information Act 2000 has been registered in Najafgarh.
