Three held for Thefts at 5-star hotels

Three Peruvian citizens, including a woman, were arrested for committing thefts at some five star hotels on Monday, police said.

Three Peruvian citizens, including a woman, were arrested for committing thefts at some five star hotels on Monday, police said.

According to police, the trio were arrested from the Pahaganj area of central Delhi on Tuesday evening.

“They have confessed to have committed theft at the Taj Mansingh hotel and we are presently investigating where else they have been involved in similar incidents,” said a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, an Egyptian woman’s purse was stolen at a central Delhi hotel on Tuesday evening, police said.

According to police, the woman was staying at the Hotel Lalit near Ranjit Singh flyover.

“While she was checking out of the hotel, she realized that her purse was missing. We were contacted by the hotel’s staff,” said a senior police officer.

Police said a case of theft has been registered.
