Three new logbook fudging cases found
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has detected three fresh cases where log books had been fudged to obtain Commercial Pilot's License (CPL). DGCA - aviation sector's safety regulator - has informed the Delhi Police about these new cases.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has detected three fresh cases where log books had been fudged to obtain Commercial Pilot's License (CPL). DGCA - aviation sector's safety regulator - has informed the Delhi Police about these new cases.
On logging a minimum of 200 flying hours, one is eligible for a CPL, which is issued by the DGCA. After obtaining a CPL, one can join an airline as a first officer or a co-pilot.
The DGCA has commenced examination of all CPL records issued during the past and till date seven cases of submission of forged result cards have been detected. Six cases of forged mark sheets to obtain Airline Transport Pilot License have also been detected.
