Trapped in lift, factory worker found dead

A 30-year-old man died of suffocation after he was stuck in a lift in a factory where he was employed, police said.

The incident took place in Narela industrial area around 9 pm on Tuesday and the victim has been identified as Pramod. He is from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh.

Police said the lift at the factory had got stuck and when it was finally opened the man was found unconscious.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but the doctors there declared him brought dead, the police said. Police said though it seemed like an accident but they are probing whether there was any foul play in his death.
