“I had personally gone to Switzerland to procure evidence in June 1997. Swiss government authorities handed over an authenticated photocopy of their record according to which a Swiss account held by Quattrocchi and his wife had received $7.32 million from AB Bofors,” he said.

The CBI’s case was struck down in Delhi HC, which held that “only original copies of such evidence will be accepted”. Later, the CBI didn’t get the Centre’s requisite permission to appeal in the SC.
