“We will continue to sit outside until the civic body gets a proper meeting hall,” Mishra said on Monday.

Terming the existing meeting hall a ‘rang-manch,’ Mishra said, “A new institution should be well-equipped with resources.”

“The headquarter at Udyog Sadan has no space to house offices of all departments. Different committees of the deliberative wing also don't have adequate space. The auditorium has been provided to conduct meetings of the house, which is an insult,” added Mishra.

Leader of the house of EDMC, BB Tyagi and chairman designate of the standing committee, Mehak Singh said, “The three corporations were created to provide better civic services but stepmotherly treatment is being meted out to the EDMC.”

Mishra said the loan given to EDMC by the Delhi government should be converted into a grant, so that better services can be provided to people.
