Worker killed in south Delhi

A 25-year-old worker was killed on Monday while another sustained injuries after they came in contact with a high-tension electric wire while installing a hoarding in south Delhi, police said.

A 25-year-old worker was killed on Monday while another sustained injuries after they came in contact with a high-tension electric wire while installing a hoarding in south Delhi, police said.

The deceased was identified as Mukesh Patel, a native of Faridabad in Haryana, said a police officer.

"In the afternoon at around 2.40 pm., the victims were installing a flex hoarding on the third floor of a building in Tughlaqabad Extension," he said, adding that some illegal construction was going on in the building.

A case was registered against unidentified people at Govindpuri police station, the officer said.
