Yadav’s arrest brings cheer to ‘crusaders’
A jail term for former UP chief secretary Neera Yadav has emboldened voices against corruption.
“Neera was the mother of corruption in Noida. We are glad that we were able to see her behind the bars even though it took 16 years. Around 27 industrialists, who had opposed her ways, were booked under false cases,” Vipin Malhan, senior vice president, Noida Entrepreneur Association (NEA), said.

“Since then, corruption at Noida authority has increased by more than 500 times. We are gathering documents to expose officials. We will send the list to the CBI for inquiry,” he added.
Ashutosh Srivastava, a social worker, has filed a petition regarding hotel allotments and other financial irregularities in the past. He, however, feels that corruption has increased by more than 1,000 times over 15 years. “I have planned to file a case to expose current financial scams. Yadav’s arrest has given hope that officials, however high they may be, can be punished,” he said. HTC
