The representatives were part of a group constituted by Ministry of Water Resources following an under the banner of Yamuna Bachao Abhiyan.

The forum members comprising farmers and saints/ascetics have been agitating at Jantar Mantar for last two weeks. The Centre had constituted a group comprising officials from Central Water Commission, planning commission, governments of Delhi and Haryana, ministry of Environment and Forests and representatives of Yamuna Bachao Abhiyan. The team will submit its report in a week.
