A group of Delhi University aspirants on Monday complained they were not able to submit answers online for the entrance examination for B.Ed course at a centre in west Delhi.
On Monday, the university held entrance examination for its B.Ed course at various centres between 4pm and 6pm. However, students who appeared for the test at a centre in Rohini alleged that they were not able to submit their answers after taking the exam online.
“When you take an exam online, you have to finish it and submit it online. But on Monday, we were asked to not submit the answers as there was ‘some technical problem’ in Delhi University’s main website,” said Charul, an applicant.
Another student, who appeared for the exam, added that many of them were made to sit inside the examination hall till 8pm while officials tried to resolve the issue.
The students were finally allowed to go after 8 pm. Students said they have also filed a police complaint in this matter.
However, police said that they were unaware of any complaint.
University officials said there was some technical glitch due to which answers were not being uploaded. However, they said the problem was resolved after university officials went to the centre and transferred the data to the system.
“There was a technical glitch due to which there were problems in syncing the system. But it was resolved and the data was later transferred to the main system,” said Vinay Gupta, dean examination.
Earlier, students faced problems in downloading admit cards for exams. Many students had turned up at the university to get a hard copy of their admit card.
