India Post GDS Recruitment 2021: The India Post has invited online applications for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in Chhattisgarh and Kerala Postal Circle on its official website.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions online at appost.in on or before April 7, 2021.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 2558 vacancies, out of which, 1421 vacancies are for Kerala Post Office, and 1137 for Chhatisgarh Post Office.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate applying for the GDS recruitment should have a secondary school examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education.

The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard.

Application fee:

Candidates belonging to the UR/OBC/EWS Male/Transman category are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. The SC/ST/Female/Transwoman/PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of the registration fee.

"The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS," reads the official notification.
