UPSC result 2017: Sachin Gupta of Sirsa secures third AIR
Gupta has completed his mechanical engineering from Thapar University, Patiala.
Sachin Gupta, 31, of Haryana’s Sirsa district secured third All India Rank in the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) examinations.
Gupta has completed his mechanical engineering from Thapar University, Patiala. After completing his engineering, Gupta worked with a private company in Gurugram.
While talking to Hindustan Times, Sachin’s father Sudarshan Gupta, who runs a private trading forum in Sirsa’s Bhadra Bazaar said, “He told me he is interested in joining civil services and for that he wanted to drop his job. I accepted as Sachin was an intelligent student. He started taking group studies and coaching from Delhi and gave the examination last year also.”
“In his first attempt, in 2016, he got All India Rank 575. However, he wanted to improve his rank and wanted to go to Bangalore for further coaching. We accepted and he went to Bangalore for good. I am a proud father today,” Sudarshan Gupta said.
When contacted Sachin Gupta he said, “Technically this was my second attempt but I consider it as my first. I am glad that I cleared it this time.”
Sachin said he wants to become an IAS and will work to eradicate social evils from the society. Sachin’s mother Sushma Gupta is a government teacher.
