Rahul doesn't have strength to learn from his mistakes, says Smriti Irani
The Congress' electoral debacles continued after it was voted out in power in Punjab, failed to make a mark in Uttar Pradesh and couldn't snatch victory from the BJP in Uttarkahand, Goa and Manipur
Union minister Smriti Irani on Thursday mocked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi after he ‘humbly accepted the people’s verdict' in the Assembly elections to the five states.

“I don't think he has the 'damkham'(strength) to learn from his mistakes...In UP it was said that Priyanka will infuse new life into the party, instead she destroyed it,” Irani, who had defeated Gandhi in Amethi in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, said.
“Humbly accept the people's verdict. Best wishes to those who have won the mandate. My gratitude to all Congress workers and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. We will learn from this and keep working for the interests of the people of India,” Gandhi tweeted.
The Congress' electoral debacles continued after it was voted out in power in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party won a landslide victory in the northern state under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann. With Punjab having slipped away, the Grand Old Party is now single-handedly ruling in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh only. It shares power with DMK in Tamil Nadu, is in alliance with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in Jharkhand and shares power with Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party in Maharashtra.
The Congress also failed to make a mark in Uttar Pradesh, despite Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's aggressive campaign with the slogan ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’. The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to get a second term in India's most populous state.
The Congress also couldn't defeat the saffron party in Uttarakhand and Goa despite a tough contest.
