Duddhi comes under the Sonbhadra district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Duddhi voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on March 7 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Duddhi assembly seat had 3,08,045 registered voters. Of the, 1,66,446 were male and 1,41,599 were female voters. 2.8% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 8 candidates in the fray from Duddhi constituency. Duddhi was one of 9 seats won by the Apna Dal (Soneylal). It was an extremely close fight, with Apna Dal (Soneylal)'s Har Iram narrowly winning the election upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Vijay Singh Gond by a slim margin of 1,085 votes.
92.4% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Apna Dal (Soneylal)'s Har Iram grabbed a total of 64,399 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Vijay Singh Gond got 63,314 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Anil Kumar Singh bagged 46,090 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 34.2%, 33.7% and 24.5% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Independent candidate Rubi Prasad defeated Samajwadi Party's Naresh Kumar by 6,039 votes.
